A guide to our selection criteria when admitting candidates.
The application you send to UCAS will be forwarded to the University and considered carefully by the relevant departments. You may be asked to come to Swansea for interview, although it is not possible to interview all those who apply. Our decision whether or not to accept your application will be sent to you via UCAS.
Many offers are, of course, conditional upon the applicant's examination performance and in such cases final acceptance is made as soon as the results are published.
If your application is unsuccessful and you wish to request that it be reconsidered please contact the Admissions Officer for further details.
If you are a candidate with a serious disability or chronic medical condition or a significant special need, then we may require you to be interviewed by the University's Special Needs Officer and/or the Director for Occupational Health.
All applicants for qualifications offered by the School of Health Science will have to satisfy the particular medical and other, non-academic requirements of that department.
You will normally be notified of an offer of a place through UCAS, with the exception that the Admissions Officer may correspond directly with some applicants, confirming their offer of admission. No offers of admission made by other means are considered to be legally binding. Indications of admission by a member of staff of any Department should not be considered to constitute an offer of a place, nor should it be considered binding in any way, prior to the receipt of a formal offer through UCAS, or confirmed by the Admissions Officer.
Full information about registration and induction activities is sent to all new students prior to the beginning of the session, usually early September
