Information for students who have applied through UCAS and have been invited to visit by their prospective department.
The transport from Swansea railway station, campus tours, visits to on-campus accommodation and the 1.00 pm introductory talk will all go ahead as scheduled. Routes in and around Swansea are clear so we anticipate that department based activities (such as interviews and subject talks) will go ahead as scheduled. However, you are advised to check with the department that has invited you before you start your journey. Further updates will be posted as soon as they become available.

There’s also transport to and from Swansea Railway Station, and the nearby off-campus car park, to help make things as easy as possible for all visitors.
At the end of a visit you’ll be in a much better position to decide whether Swansea is the university for you, so make sure you come to see us before finally accepting or declining your course offers.

Rail:
Visitors arriving by train will be met at Swansea Railway Station by a Student Ambassador. Coaches will depart for campus from Swansea Railway Station meeting trains from Paddington arriving at Swansea at 9.40 am, 10.40am and 11.40am. A mini tour en-route to campus will be provided by a student on your coach.
Coaches will leave from outside Fulton House at 3pm, 3.45pm and 4.45pm to return visitors to the railway station.
Car:
Visitors driving to Swansea will be able to park in the Recreation Ground car park by St Helens rugby ground (Council charge £1.50) and a free shuttle bus service will operate to campus from 9.30am to 1pm (see enclosed details for directions).
A free shuttle bus will return visitors from Fulton House to the car park from 2.30pm to 4-45pm.
On arrival at the campus please make your way to the “Visit Day Helpdesk” on the west side of the foyer of Fulton House (Building 17 on the campus map) where staff and students will be on hand throughout the day to answer any queries that you may have and provide any assistance required.
(3) Student Recruitment Office’s Introductory Talk
An “Introduction to Swansea University” presentation takes place in the Faraday Lecture Theatre on the Ground Floor of the Faraday Building (building 8.1 on the campus map) at 1.00pm, given by staff from the Recruitment Office. This talk is aimed at both parents and applicants alike, and will give visitors a broad overview of what Swansea has to offer as a place to study and to live as a student. The talk takes approximately 30 minutes.
Tickets for the Introductory Talk to be collected on arrival from the Helpdesk.
On campus, rooms in Halls will be open for viewing 10.00am to 4-30pm, with the resident student available throughout the day to show you around and answer any questions. Details of room numbers available from the Helpdesk on the day. There will be a student based in the Hall reception to meet you and direct you to the rooms.
Campus tours will be available from the Helpdesk at 20 minute intervals, subject to demand, from 10-00am to 4.00pm. Each tour will take approximately 30 minutes.
