    Theology Public Lecture

    The Reverend Professor Christopher Rowland (Dean Ireland Professor of the Exegesis of Holy Scripture at Oxford University and Fellow of Queen's College Oxford)


    The Reverend Professor Christopher Rowland was also formerly Dean of Jesus College Cambridge and a Senior Lecturer in New Testament Studies at Cambridge University.  His research interests include:  Interpretation of the New Testament; the apocalyptic tradition in ancient Judaism and Christianity; the reception history of the Apocalypse; the biblical hermeneutics of William Blake; the theology of liberation; the radical tradition of Christianity; methods in grassroots reading of Scripture; group work and biblical study; and the interpretation of the Bible and developments in adult education.
