Free for staff & students - Swansea University has a Gold Scheme licence to use all of the Netskills training materials.
There is a wide range of modules which include: Introducing the Internet, Searching and Information Skills, Communication & Collaboration, Learning & Teaching, Developing a Web Site, and Web Technologies (such as JavaScript, databases, ASPs, Dreamweaver and FrontPage). The training modules are available for use in; training courses & lectures and for staff & students to download for self-study. Material can either be used ‘as is’ or tailored to develop appropriate training courses, lectures, tutorials and self-paced study programmes that meet your specific requirements.
A module normally consists of approximately 2.5 hours of material which includes; a PowerPoint presentation with speaker’s notes, a set of hands-on exercises in Word and a list of useful web addresses that allow trainers to deliver face-to-face practical training sessions. Several of the modules can also be delivered in a self-paced format for individual learners.
