Within the University you will find many opportunities for personal development through term-time jobs, volunteering, social activities, participating in sports and joining clubs and societies.
Work tasters are available through the Careers Centre. They are unpaid, but can provide the chance to gain experience of jobs where paid placements are not available, and may lead to further paid opportunities.
The main focus for social activities is, of course, the Students' Union, and there are also part-time temporary jobs available with the Union that you can apply for through the Careers Centre. On the Students' Union Societies' web pages you will find information about the "Societies Challenge" which offers experiences to help you develop the skills employers want whilst enjoying a great social life.
Discovery Student Volunteering Swansea provides lots of opportunities to gain valuable experience and develop key skills by becoming involved in a wide range of voluntary activities within the local area.
