From June 2009 The Graduate Development Centre (GDC) at LJMU will be running the Graduate Accelerator Employability Programme (GAP) which is an intensive one week programme for 20 unemployed graduate participants to develop their employability skills and a plan for finding a job. In brief, delivered jointly by GDC staff and colleagues from several sector skills councils and graduate recruiters the programme will offer an online diagnostic interview covering self awareness, organisation awareness and making things happen, action planning, workshops on career development, transition skills, industry sectors and job-hunting and filmed practice recruitment interviews. Additionally each participant will be offered ongoing support after the programme has ended. The programme will be offered once each month until September 2010.
